What your favorite bird tells about you

Trying to attract crows to my yard Posted by Picasa

I get a newsletter from Care2 called Guidance for Body, Mind, Spirit. One of the newsletters had an article about what your favorite bird says about you. The article is inspired by a book written by Ted Andrews called Animal Speak.

My favorite bird is the crow. I have always loved crows and I have a couple crow decoys in my yard hoping to attract real ones.

You can see the whole article here, http://www.care2.com/channels/solutions/bms/2260

Here is what it says about the meaning of the birds,

Crow - Intelligence, magic, mysticism, spiritual strength. Look for opportunities to be creative and bring forth the magic of life.

Dove - Peace, prophecy, maternal instinct. Mourn the past, but the promise of the future awaits you. Imagine what you could birth in your life.

Eagle - Spiritual and mystical power, illumination, healing, perception, creativity. Take on responsibility and embrace your healing and creative power.

Goose - Vision, imagination, loyalty. Your imagination may compel you to travel, either physically or in your mind.

Hawk - Visionary, protector, strength, power. Awaken your vision and embrace your creativity. Move dynamically toward your soul purpose.

Heron - Self-reliance, balance, ability to progress. You follow your own path and move powerfully toward opportunities.

Hummingbird - Joy, playfulness, sweetness, independence. You may accomplish the seemingly impossible, and can rejoice in the miracle of life.

Owl - Silent wisdom, magical mystery, clairvoyance, fearlessness. You can access your strength and power, your ability to “see in the dark” of even the most mysterious circumstances.

Songbird - Resourceful, adaptable, communicating freely and with beauty. Your cheerfulness and vitality are a source of joy to all around you.

Swan - Stately, graceful, sensitive, beautiful. Freely express the mysteries of poetry and song, awakening to the power and beauty within you.
