Hey!
I finally figured out how to get this blog to feed to my Yahoo!360 page :-D
My poor hubby! He's trying to get some sleep and the crazy snowplows are out making all kinds of noise plowing the snow we got last night. Our kids were hoping school would be either delayed or canceled today. No such luck, they didn't do either. Ah well, they'd probably have more fun at school than at home anyway. If you had the choice of hanging out with friends all day or hanging out with your mom all day, which would you choose?? LOL! I shouldn't say that, my kids and I get along great, I hardly ever need to discipline them anymore. I did when they were little and set the ground rules and boundaries, they obeyed the rules and earned our trust. Now they have quite a bit more freedom than most kids around here have because they've earned it, but they also know that if they misbehave or get themselves into any trouble, the trust is gone and they'll need to earn it back again. My oldest son actually thanked me for spanking him when he was little after we spent the day with unruly, undisciplined kids ranging in ages of 6 to 16 years. The teenager was the worst and my son just couldn't believe how this boy was treating his parents or that they even allowed him to treat them that way. My kids have alot of respect for their elders and for authority. And in return they have also earned respect back from them. I am so proud of my boys, the only problem is they are getting too old too fast on me and soon my babies will be off on their own. :-( That's really sad to think about and it's going to ruin my day if I think about it anymore, on to more fun stuff......
My hubby was so happy to see our kitty's when he got up yesterday. He really missed them. Even though he is always calling them little terrorists and trouble makers, we all know he really loves them and you could really see it in his face yesterday when he saw his little P2 (he calls Boris P2 because of something Boris did one day that another cat we used to have always did).
I was able to get one last taste of Halloween the other day. We were out finishing up our Ax-mas shopping and I was kinda bummed out that it was the Holly Jolly, full of good cheer and commercialism up the rear Season. We got up to the checkout and hubby says "hey hon check it out!" and I look to where he was pointing. Up at the front of the store they had a display of candy corn on sale. mmmmm candy corn!! I got two big bags of the chocolate candy corn and have it in a Halloween container with a flip-top lid sitting on the computer desk next to me. I'm hoping to make it last through the Holly Jolly, full of good cheer and commercialism up the rear Season. :-)
I chopped off my hair again today. I know, I know... I always say I'm going to grow it out long again and I'm not going to chop it off, but it gets to a certain length and starts getting all icky frizzy at the ends and it just doesn't look right anymore. I guess I'm just not destined to have my long thick hair back again. I should have never got it all cut off that first time years ago and I wouldn't be having these hair problems. Ah well, it's just hair. It'll keep growing and getting grayer by the day. That's another thing, I said after my last hair dye-job that I wasn't going to color my hair anymore I'll just let the gray fill in all it wants. And ya know what, even though you can very clearly see the gray now, I have no desire to color it. The last coloring has finally grown out and I pretty much cut off all that remained of it this morning, so it's just my natural light brown hair shining with glimmers of silver- sounds pretty cool when you say it that way doesn't it?
OK, I gotta get off this thing and get to my work. First I gotta check on my babies and see how their little feets are doing. Boris hops around like he didn't even have anything done to him, but Lars, he looks like he's feeling it. My poor babies!! But it had to be done, I'm very allergic to cats when they scratch me, I instantly puff up and I get just downright miserable. You'd think I wouldn't even want cats around me, but I love them so much. They are such an amazing animal.
OK Spooky, stop typing and get to work!!! LOL! I am so bored!! That's another reason I have cats, I can talk to them instead of myself and nobody will think I'm crazy. heeheehee!
